Homemade Ranch Dressing (featured by Coffee Nosh)
When Heartland Coffee & Nosh asked if they could feature my homemade ranch dressing on their Chicken Bacon Ranch Sliders at the kick-off of Food Truck Fridays, I said “Of course!” They were looking for a nice and thick ranch dressing to compliment their sandwich, and if I do say so myself, it was the perfect match. So tasty! What an honor to be included in such a neat event with an awesome business. I absolutely love everything they are up to. Amazing specialty drinks, and their fresh food is delish!
Today I’m sharing my go-to ranch recipe, as well as some photos from the first Food Truck Friday of the summer. Be sure to try Heartland Coffee & Nosh soon–you won’t be disappointed!! You can find them at the Sioux City Farmer’s Market, Food Truck Friday, Morningside Mashup, and more.
You’ll find the ingredients and instructions below the photos. Enjoy!
Here are a few shots of my Ranch Dressing recipe. Ingredients and instructions below!
1 cup mayo
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon chives
1/2 teaspoon parsley
1/2 teaspoon dill
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon season salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup of milk (optional)
In a small bowl, stir all of the dry ingredients listed above to create your ranch seasoning. Set aside. In a larger bowl, whisk the mayo and sour cream together. Add the ranch seasoning and whisk until the seasoning is evenly distributed in the wet mixture. If you prefer a dressing that isn’t so thick, you can add up to 1/4 cup of milk. This ranch is delicious on a wedge salad, as a veggie dip, with sweet potato fries, or on about anything. I mean, what isn’t ranch good with? It is also very good by the spoonful. It’s thaaaat good. 😉
P.S. Often I make the ranch seasoning in bulk so it’s really fast to mix up the next time.
